Title: The U.S.-Japan Conspiracy Remembering Hiroshima & Nagasaki

Author: Yuki Tanaka, Historian, Australia/Japan

Abstract: It is well known that the U.S. has justified the indiscriminate atomic bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki ever since the end of the Pacific War in August 1945, claiming that the war could not be ended without it. Using this excuse, the U.S. covered up and continues to conceal the grave “crime against humanity” it committed against tens of thousands of citizens. For its part, Japan justifies the bombing, asserting that it surrendered due to the devastating destruction thus caused. By doing so, Japan’s real reason for surrender – the Soviet Union’s entrance into the war against Japan – has been suppressed. At the same time, Japan’s responsibility for the war of aggression and numerous atrocities that its Imperial forces committed in many places across the Asia-Pacific over 15 years have been deliberately disregarded.
